DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


This is advanced supervisory human resource work in employee relations with responsibility for ensuring that, through the actions of subordinate staff, all aspects of the employee relations program are properly administered for the Department of Health, to also include Workplace Violence (WPV), Workplace Safety (WS), Unemployment Compensation (UC), and the State Employees Assistance Program (SEAP).


You will have the opportunity to manage the relationship with the Department of Health, represent the agency in negotiations, and administer and implement the provisions of collective bargaining agreements.

You will be responsible for supervising subordinate professional management staff, establishing job standards and objectives, monitoring staff performance, and preparing performance evaluations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday
  • Friday, with 30minute lunch.

Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • One year as a Human Resource Analyst 3 in the area of the parenthetical;
    or:
  • One year as Human Resource Director 1 or Field Human Resource Officer 2, and one year of professional experience in the area of the parenthetical;
    or:
  • One year of experience in the performance of professional supervisory or specialist developmental human resource work in the area of the parenthetical; and a bachelor's degree;
    or:
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
