- Act as technical lead on assay development projects from feasibility, optimization, and execution.
- Design, develop and validate assays for the detection of minimal residual disease and cancer biomarkers.
- Demonstrate initiative and creativity in contributing to Droplet's IP portfolio.
- Analyze and present data internally and externally.
- Contribute to reports and publications.
- Collaborate with clinical and informatic teams to optimize collection, wet-lab, and analytical processes.
- Mentor and train junior research associates.
- Act as a technical expert across multiple technologies.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the field.
- PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with genomic assays.
- Collaborative scientist who enjoys gaining interdisciplinary knowledge.
- Excellent written and presentation skills.
- Preferred: Previous experience in liquid biopsy or cancer diagnostic field.
- Preferred: experience collaborating with bioinformatics
- Experience with proteomic or cell biology experience is a plus.
