- Review current state architecture and inventory of data platforms and warehouses.
- Assess the physical and logical footprint of existing platforms.
- Identify and document all objects, including tables, views, reports, analytics, and data sharing mechanisms.
- Determine the business areas supported by each platform.
- Develop a prioritization matrix based on importance, urgency, and criticality of platforms and associated objects.
- Identify objects to be consolidated or rationalized during the transition.
- Assess business impacts associated with the migration.
- Identify dependencies and create a sequenced implementation plan.
- Define target state requirements, including data pipelines, ingestion processes, and data population.
- Plan the transition of dashboards, reports, and data sharing mechanisms to the Snowflake platform.
- Develop a detailed roadmap outlining initiatives, timelines, and implementation costs.
- Provide strategic guidance and advisory services for data platform transition and implementation.
- Engage with leadership to formulate data strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of implementation plans.
- Offer expertise and recommendations on best practices for data management and governance.
