    Job Summary:

    Project Engineer with 5 – 7 years of experience (ComEd preferred) of Overhead or Underground utilities distribution. This position includes performing engineering tasks on multiple small to medium sized projects with a moderate level of technical difficulty; coordinating and completing complex distribution designs independently, managing a team of engineers, and giving a complete QA/QC check on other designer's projects.

    Responsibilities include:
    • Applying sound engineering knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of project assignments
    • Developing contacts with key engineers and officials in other organizations to confirm that engineering practices applied are consistent with current engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and current technological innovations
    • Developing and maintaining quality relationships with clients
    • Leads projects and project team in the execution of several mid-to-large scale projects
    • Communicates and coordinates project activities with internal team members
    • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) design reviews and Peer Reviews for all project documents
    • Performs peer reviews and mentors project team members
    • Assists in the preparation of scoping documents and fees
    • Prepares and reviews project drawings in TED
    • Resolves design questions and technical concerns
    • Provides excellent client/customer service
    • Will be managing a team of 3 – 4 engineers
    • *PE license preferred
    Requirements:
    • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university or equivalent technical degree
    • 5 – 7 years minimum of experience with Distribution Design, ComEd experience preferred
    • Knowledge of industry codes and standards
    • Ability to interface effectively with clients, employees, and management team is essential
    • Motivated to continually take on more responsibility and lead the team
    • Collaborative approach to problem solving
    • Strong communication skills
    Additional Requirements:
    • Must be willing to comply with all pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, drug testing, reference verification, education and employment verification and background screening
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
    • Possess a valid Driver's License
    • Hybrid work schedule in our Chicago office
