We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Encroachment Projects Group, responsible for managing construction projects to safeguard our pipelines from conflicts with neighboring developments.     Position: Senior Project Engineer Location: Flexible Salary: Competitive

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage multiple construction projects across various locations, each typically under $10MM.
    • Coordinate and oversee capital projects in line with company policies and procedures.
    • Develop project scopes, execution plans, estimates, and schedules for approval.
    • Monitor project scope, costs, and schedule to ensure adherence to approved budget and timeline.
    • Apply project management best practices and enforce project standards.
    • Analyze and mitigate project risks to minimize financial and schedule exposure.
    • Ensure completeness, currency, and archival of project documents and drawings.
    • Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors to safely execute projects.
    • Prepare regular project progress reports and cost forecasts using software such as Excel, Word, and Oracle.
    • Supervise activities of outside consultants and manage consultant selection process.
    • Create and execute project work plans, adapting as needed to meet changing requirements.
    • Coordinate project activities for both internal and external resources.
    • Review consultant work to ensure compliance with company standards and contractual requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and DOT regulations.
    • Stay updated on relevant regulations, industry standards, and technologies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering.
    • 5-7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
    • Preferred experience with ASME and API standards, DOT regulations, and pipeline maintenance and construction.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Ability to travel domestically, up to 25% of the time.
