- Manage the workflow and review of tax returns and perform tax research
- Preparation and review of complex and multi state tax returns.
- Respond to tax notices from taxing authorities
- Review tax information supplied by the client and will meet with and/or contact client regarding general or complex tax questions
- Recognize, anticipate, and resolve tax issues and make recommendations
- Assist and supervise tax staff in the preparation of tax returns and research.
- 5 Plus years of prior public accounting experience
- CPA certified a must
- Strong organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Diligent work ethic and dedication to providing superior client service
- Possess integrity, be trustworthy, dependable, and a team player
- Excellent communication skills – oral, written, and interpersonal
- Strong client handling and engagement skills
- Must be proficient in corporate, partnership, and individual tax return preparation and tax planning
- Ability to review interim and annual financial statements
- Experience in managing multiple client engagements at the same time
- Prior basic supervisory experience is a must
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and QuickBooks is required
- Lacerte tax software is preferred but not required
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
