Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Director shall be responsible and accountable for the overall internal and external operation of the facility, and shall direct all activities of the facility to ensure compliance with established standards. The Executive Director is directly responsible to the President of McLaren Northern Michigan or his designee, and the Board of Trustees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for: Effective operation of all activities ; interpretation and administration of the policies of the Board of Trustees; utilization and development of Boulder Park Terrace human, financial and technical resources; maintenance of high quality professional patient and medical care service; participation in community health programs; and financial integrity.
Develop annually for Board review and approval, a strategic and tactical plan delineating the organizations quality, productivity, fiscal, and patient, staff and other customer satisfaction objectives.
Develop annually for Board review and approval, operating and capital budgets.
Develop and continuously improve the structure and processes for recruitment and retention of medical, clinical, support and administrative staff.
Provide leadership and overall management of the organizations operations and finances, and regularly report to the Board the results, including progress toward annual objectives.
Develop annually for Board review and approval, a Business Development Plan to support achievement of the organizations strategic and tactical objectives.
Support and participate in, as required, the activities necessary for achievement of MNM strategic objectives.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships, including referral relationships with other healthcare providers in the region.
Actively participate in the legislative and regulatory processes to promote a positive environment for the provision of long term care services.
Actively participate in appropriate professional groups to strengthen professional skills and knowledge base.
Perform any and all duties that may be required or from time to time assigned by the Board of Trustees.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Graduate in nursing home administration, business administration, or equivalent - Required
MI Licensed nursing home administrator - Required
Prior experience in nursing home administration of at least (5) years - Preferred
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Michigan

Nursing Home was established in 1992 as a skilled eldercare nursing home and sub acute rehabilitation center to meet the special health needs of clients. Nursing home is thoughtfully designed and tastefully appointed for the comfort and security of residents and visitors. The facility's warm home-like atmosphere is enhanced by its natural setting on Lake Michigan's shoreline, ideal for those in need of short-stay rehabilitation or long-term nursing care. Residents live well at Boulder Park Terrace.
