Cyber Security Professional

Coilcraft is a successful, privately-held company in Cary, IL with a worldwide reputation for high-quality passive electronic components. Coilcraft operates in various industries, including telecommunications, computers, automotive, broadband communications, and consumer electronics. We are seeking a Cyber Security Professional to join our IT team

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and assess risks.
Develop and implement robust security measures and protocols to protect against cyber threats.
Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents, and respond promptly to mitigate potential risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security solutions that align with business objectives.
Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and recommend proactive measures to enhance security posture.
Provide guidance and support to clients on security best practices and compliance requirements.
Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
Contribute to the development of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
Professional information security certification preferred, such as:
- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Proven experience in conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, encryption algorithms, and security technologies.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, etc.
Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the cybersecurity field.
