Telos is looking for a Business Development (BD) executive to drive growth within Telos' Department of Defense (DoD), Federal and Civilian (FedCiv), and Intelligence Community (IC) Cybersecurity business portfolio.

The Business Development executive will be responsible for leveraging Telos' existing portfolio of customers and driving adjacent growth from our core Cybersecurity business.

This position will be based in our HQ located in Ashburn, VA on a Hybrid/Remote schedule


Responsibilities:


  • Ability to collaborate with account leadership and teams to formalize strategies, analysis, and capture in alignment with Telos' Cybersecurity account goals and strategies.
  • Assist I the development of account strategies and associated pipelines. Treat account strategy as a living document and recommend modifications as necessary.
  • Participate in opportunity pipeline reviews and coordinate across business stakeholders (i.e., BD Operations) within the company.
  • Help identify, influence, and develop strategies to promote Telos' offerings with clients through varying mechanisms (i.e., Market Research, RFIs, White Papers, etc).
  • Support shaping acquisition strategies by leveraging client relationships, company capabilities and experience, partnerships, and knowledge of available contracting vehicles.
  • Build and maintain a network of strategic partners across target markets. Work as a liaison and facilitator between internal groups and teaming partners. Must be able to manage and act as a lead on subcontractor opportunities (i.e., as a main POC with teaming partners).
  • Develop and maintain lasting relationships with government customers through routine, meaningful interactions across all target segments to gain valuable intelligence and insights and subsequently position Telos as a trusted partner to customers.
  • Position Telos as a key partner across markets (identified above), and build a favorable brand for Telos in the eyes of both the customer and teaming partners.

Job Requirements:


Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI (with CI Poly Preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 plus years of experience or a Master's with 10 plus years of experience.
  • Some Business Development and Capture experience, knowledge of selling technical solutions (i.e., Cybersecurity), with ability to both assist developing a qualified new business pipeline and winning new business.
  • Familiarity and awareness of Federal and Intelligence Community based Cybersecurity Executive Orders, Publications, and Strategies (i.e., CNNSi 1253, NIST 80037, Executive Order 14028, Intelligence Community Data Strategy) to influence account strategies.
  • Experience working across functional areas to provide input and recommendation on account growth strategies and plans.
  • Existing meaningful relationships and extensive knowledge of target organizations and the Department of Defense (DoD), Federal and Civilian (FedCiv), and Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations, policies, and contract vehicles, with experience and demonstrated success in direct award process.
  • Knowledge of Government contracting, current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors (Federal GWACs/IDIQs/BPAs /OTAs).
  • Experience building a quick and accurate insight of competitors and competitor behaviors in target markets.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting and communicating with CXO level staff.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Possess an ability to create, edit and manage highquality content that is clear, onpoint, and professional.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
