JOB SUMMARY


In this role as Product Value Stream Management Lead in the E2E Product Management Team, the employee will be responsible for driving optimization of the supply chain performance for the new & existing products through end-to-end product ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

For NPIs, the role starts with early involvement in product design, continues with the design of supply chain & process, the planning and implementing the launch, and ends at stabilization.

For existing products, the employee will lead and facilitate interdisciplinary teams responsible for Supply Chain activities/projects necessary to enable the commercial strategy and continuity of supply for the product portfolio.


KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Product Value Stream Lead will lead global, cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams, with full accountability for:

  • New product introduction strategy and execution in coordination with the cross-functional team ensuring Supply Chain results to accomplish project landmarks are met.
  • Initial sourcing of the product, and future sourcing sites as necessary.
  • The strategic direction for the product portfolio relative to the supply chain, developing the Product Strategy Roadmap, preparing the cases for Life Cycle Management (LCM) prioritization, articulating these cases to partners to secure funding, and assuring the approved LCM plan is implemented by relevant parties within and outside Supply Chain.
  • The identification, mitigation, and communication of supply chain related risks through the development, launch readiness, and product/process optimization stages.
  • Ensuring the commercial strategy and customer needs are incorporated into the development of the launch strategy, product supply chain strategy, Product Strategy Roadmap (PSR)
  • Championing commercialization of the best, optimized product, process and supply chain at launch.
  • Product performance metrics (e.g. COGS, Cycle Time, tradeoffs).
  • Leading Issue Management Teams as necessary. Critical issue and management of supply events for all assigned products in the business group or product portfolio that are potentially impacting the continuity of supply. Act as the internal central point of contact to handle the response during eventmanagement. Support coordination with Quality, Manufacturing & Planning, and generate the required internal communications.
  • Building strong interdependent partnerships and run the communication effectively with key team members in R&D, QA, MAKE, Deliver, Regulatory and our partners in the Commercial and Global Strategic Marketing organizations.
  • Mentoring and providing feedback to Value Chain Team members and their functional management on performance within the VCT. Will provide guidance to the VCT members in the resolution of conflicts, both of technical and business nature.

Qualifications:


Required Skills:


  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of 6 to 8 years of related experience is required.
  • Broad Supply Chain experience (e.g. Manufacturing, Planning, Supply Chain Management, Technical Service Support, Sourcing, Deliver, New Product Introduction) in a relevant function and industry is required.
  • Prior Experience in New Product Launch Management & Execution Required
  • Ability to actively collaborate with global crossfunctional new product launch teams is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to international crossfunctional partners and management is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries through influence, negotiation and partnering is required.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and a processoriented attitude is required.
  • Capability to lead large and cross functional global teams and drive resolution in exciting situations with significant ambiguity.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of regulatory/compliance guidelines is preferred.
  • A focused degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Science/Engineering or other Technical Areas is preferred. A Master's or other advanced degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Medical Devices or Pharma is preferred.
  • Cross Functional and/or E2E Supply Chain Experience with a focus in Manufacturing/External Manufacturing and Deliver is preferred.
  • Formal Program & Project Management experience in large, global and complex initiatives is preferred.
  • PMP, 6sigma, Lean or APICS certifications are preferred.
