    General Manager

    for this 110+ room property. The Homewood Suites is right in the downtown Tuscaloosa area with the 205 Bar / Restaurant. Close to the University of Alabama, Amphitheater, and numerous restaurants, the hotel is a prime destination for concert goers, sports fans, university students & parents, and business travelers alike

    POSITION TITLE:
    Senior Sales Manager


    REPORTS TO:
    General Manager / Director of Sales


    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Senior Sales Manager


    will be a dynamic, aggressive and outgoing sales professional who recognizes the importance of direct selling, building and maintaining relationships, outside sales calls, effective prospecting, internet marketing strategies, community involvement, civic responsibilities and integration with operations.

    Revenue Management experience and expertise complement all strong candidates.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Strong focus and experience in building existing business and in new business development.

    Solicit new business via outside sales calls/area blitzes, prospecting calls, CVB and brand lead generation as well as develop internet research and respond to competitors reader boards to increase revenues and grow client base.

    Increase Revenue in Rooms as well as Food and Beverage of existing LNR Accounts.
    Maintain/Nurture relationships with existing clients via phone calls for follow up and solicitation along with outside sales calls.
    Achieve Monthly Revenue Goals set by the management team.

    Review Group Pick Up report to see pace to booking as well as to touch base and inform the client as to the reservation flow.

    Review Monthly financials to determine and anticipate need months and monitor guestroom booking pace vs. Budget.
    Attend Trade shows, chamber events and meetings as designated by Director of Sales.
    All other duties as assigned/required.


    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
    Must be able to communicate in English both written and verbally.
    Must maintain valid drivers license.
