Job Title: Director of Engineering

SUMMARY

Lead all stages of project design and engineering, including conceptual and advanced system design, regulatory compliance, customer requirements, site visits, permitting, and technical support during construction
Contribute to the design and delivery of PV, BESS, and other renewable projects in collaboration with the team
Prepare technical proposals, projects, and assist in evaluating project/supplier acquisition opportunities
Report on planning and technical design to the Vice President of Engineering
Collaborate with the team to enhance system standards and define company processes
Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in engineering quality
Promote a safety culture within the team
Ensure compliance with company and project-specific standards and quality management system
Perform additional duties and special projects as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the Solar/BESS industry
At least 5 years of team management experience
Strong technical background in photovoltaic and energy storage projects
Proficiency in photovoltaic performance modeling tools (e.g., PVSyst)
Knowledge of PV/BESS plant design, optimization, and industry codes
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
Ability to motivate and develop team members
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
