    Job Title
    Network Field Engineer
    Job Summary
    A Network Field Engineer will assist with implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure.
    Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    Inspect and install network equipment and new technologies
    Commission new points of presence, including cabinets, racks, AC and DC power systems, connectivity, and network and other electronic equipment
    Diagnose and resolve onsite malfunctions
    Ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipment
    Troubleshoot fiber optic connectivity issues following industry best practices
    Work independently to complete projects to specification and on schedule

    Job Qualifications
    Education: 2-year technology-focused technical degree or greater
    Experience: 2 years of field experience or related experience with the following:

    One or more Network Operating System CLI, i.e., Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, etc.
    Optical networks and related components, tools, and procedures
    Telecommunications AC and DC power systems

    Must pass a drug screening
    May be required to pass a technical skills assessment
    Must possess a valid Driver's license with a clean driving record
    Skills
    Excellent verbal and written communication
    Critical thinking
    Service orientation
    Complex analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving
    Sound judgment and decision-making
    Excellent organization abilities
    Basic hand and power tool operation and safety
    Physical Demands

    The physical demands below are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    Sitting, standing, and walking
    Lifting up to 50 pounds several times a day
    Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds
    Bending, stooping, climbing ladders and crawling
    Keyboarding/typing
    Near visual acuity
    Long hours involving overtime and weekends, ability to travel as necessary
    Ability to read effectively from a computer screen, sampling device, and a paper copy
    Ability to respond to the needs of a 24/7/365 operation.
    Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
    Must be able to stand for long periods on varied surfaces
    The position requires working outdoors in all types of weather
    Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
