    Description


    Texas Education Agency requires the services of 1 Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 , hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Developer/Programmer Analyst 3, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Education Agency .


    All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Education Agency and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law.

    Texas Education Agency will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).


    The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for undertaking advanced computer programming tasks that encompass all technical aspects of supporting, improving, and enhancing applications for a large project.

    This position requires a strong understanding of various technical domains, emphasizing the need for a solid foundation in ASP.NET Web Forms, Crystal Reports, Oracle DB, and system architecture and design.

    The candidate should be proficient in developing and maintaining complex software systems, optimizing database performance, and best practices.


    Work assignments are structured within a defined software development life cycle (SDLC), utilizing an Agile-like approach for completing code changes for defined releases.

    Additionally, reporting skills are essential, requiring the ability to design and generate complex reports, document code, write technical specifications, and maintain compliance with industry standards.

    The programmer will be involved in all stages of application development, ensuring a commitment to quality assurance, testing, and security best practices.

    Minimum Requirements

    II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


    Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.

    Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Deep understanding of the .NET ecosystem, including ASP.NET, MVC, and Entity Framework 5 Required Expertise in creating, modifying, and maintaining complex reports using Crystal Reports 5 Required Strong skills in Oracle DB and development, writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures.

    3 Required Experience working in Agile development environments, including familiarity with SCRUM. 1 Preferred Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

    III. TERMS OF SERVICE

    Services are expected to start 02/12/2024 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2024 . Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed 650 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.
