    Job Summary:
    The Senior Software Developer is responsible for software development solving complex business problems using analytical, technical, and business skills.

    They will work closely with business users to understand, analyze, and document business processes to create, modify, and/or repair systems that parallel overall business strategies and fit into overall IT architecture.


    Responsibilities:


    Analyzes business processes and applying software development expertise to improve the automation and efficiency of existing business systems and develop new applications.

    Prepares and documents requirements and specifications for software changes, new development, or package installations.
    Manages and owns software development life cycle and lead the programming effort.
    Develops test processes for new and existing production programs for the purpose of correcting and diagnosing errors.

    Plans, organizes, and leads small to large projects to completion by developing project plans, timely status reports and other project-related documentation.

    Provides day to day management of all project deliverables.
    Coordinates internal and external development teams for estimation, planning and delivery of the project.
    Acts as ongoing liaison with third party development and consulting organizations.
    Oversees creation, approval and execution of business procedures and training programs.
    Ensures adequate end user support staffing for initial rollout and transition and ongoing operations.
    Evaluates new tools and technologies for opportunities to enhance functionality.
    Implements standard software packages within framework of defined business application architecture.
    Maintains professional and technical knowledge of software.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelors degree in business management, Computer Science or related field is preferred.
    5 years of experience developing and implementing software systems or related preferred.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills that can be used across all levels of the organization.
    Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.
    Able to build strong working relationships and work in a collaborative manner across all levels of the organization.
    Able to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
    Able to lead, problem solve, and manage projects (organize, planning and time management).
    Superior professionalism, discretion, and judgment, maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality.
    Able to provide ongoing support to Chicago facilities on a remote basis.
