    Design Assistant - Job Description
    Dolce Vita Footwear, a woman's fashion footwear manufacturer, is seeking a full-time Design Assistant.

    We are a high energy, fashion driven company and are looking for an organized, hardworking, self-motivated person to join our New York based design team.


    Duties include but are not limited to:
    Track all packages to and from China
    Unpack, catalog, and track samples
    Create and maintain line sheets
    Input sample requests
    Sketch/CAD
    Set design wall with CADs and update wall as changes are made
    Create sticker labels, photo and log all original samples
    Design prints
    On-going trend research
    File materials/swatch cards
    Create mood boards/trend packets for meetings
    Assist with presentations as needed
    Keep sample closet organized

    The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:
    Must have Bachelor or Associates degree in Fashion Design/Industrial design or have related experience
    VERY detail oriented/organized
    Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
    Fluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
    Good communication skills (oral and written)
    Good follow up and follow through
    Self-starter
    Team oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks in fast paced environment

    Salary Range:
    The pay range of this position is $24/hr - $26/hr. Actual salary will be determined based off candidate's skill sets, years of experience, and other job-related factors. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and additional company benefits
