- Assist the Director of Security with the oversight and management of the Grand Sierra Resort security program, with a strong emphasis on recruitment, dispatch communications, training & development, investigations, and conventions/events.
- Liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement or regulatory agencies, and counterparts of outside organizations for assistance on related investigations.
- Ensure the department's training programs are implemented and audited in accordance with company standards including SRT qualifications, EMT certifications, annual training and disciplinary records.
- Maintain excellent communication with fellow team members and guests while assuring a positive and professional work environment.
- Responsible for creating, practicing, supporting and promoting Grand Sierra's GRAND service standards as well as the department's goals and objectives at all times.
- Practice teamwork by supporting all team members and treating each with respect to create an energized, positive and productive work environment.
- Provide the most responsive, knowledgeable and courteous service by protecting not only the property, but also the safety of guests and team members though observing, reporting and taking action while maintaining familiarity with all areas of the property.
- Must be a problem solver, able to balance competing priorities, assume control of high stress, sensitive situations and able to manage thought complexity and rapid change
- Drive operational excellence by establishing and maintaining operational security strategy, procedures, standards, and operational workflows; seeing continuous improvement opportunities, and ensuring effective management reporting.
- Develop, interact, assist and maintain a professional working relationship with other departments' management.
- Fill in for the Director of Security in their absence.
- Observe and participate in daily pre-shift briefings
- Maintain strict confidentiality of classified/ sensitive information.
- Read and respond in a timely manner to all emails and correspondence related to the department.
- Responsible for preparing and submitting reports and memorandums as required; reviewing and editing of incident reports prepared by team members for completeness and accuracy.
- Testify in legal proceedings as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 21 years of age or older.
- Must submit to and pass company paid drug screen test and background check.
- Undergo all required training and maintain a high level of expertise in all fields.
- Follow all rules, regulations, state, federal and local laws and ordinances, especially those related to the carrying of and use of a firearm.
- Must be able and willing to carry a firearm and pass all required tests along with providing documentation.
- A high level understanding interpersonal skills to productively deal with business contacts, guests, and team members at all levels of the company.
- Interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions through decisive judgment.
- Experience to manage, supervise and develop team member talents to enhance teamwork, company image and cost-effective productivity.
- Strong attention to detail, organization and engaging presentations skills.
- Adapt and work extended hours, flex days off when needed, respond while off-duty when necessary.
- Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing with the Nevada Gaming Work Board, Alcohol Awareness Card (TAM) and Nevada Driver License throughout employment.
- Must maintain a CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
- High school diploma or successful completion of a GED certificate and minimum three (3) years of proven management experience is required.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience and in-depth comprehensive knowledge in casino security, investigations, live events, law enforcement, self-awareness training techniques, and risk management is preferred.
- Advanced computer skills with various VMS, investigative and access control software systems. Must have working knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Team Member must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management, team members and others.
- Regularly required to sit; stand; walk and move through all areas of the casino; speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Team Member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

SUMMARY
The Security Operation Managers oversee the Security team members and are involved in establishing, promoting, and maintaining the company's security and property asset protection programs by performing duties personally or through delegating to subordinate managers and supervisors.
