    Job Description
    S&S Activewear is seeking an operations Manager to lead the operations of our NV distribution center.

    The ideal candidate will be is responsible for contributing to the development and tactical execution of Distribution Center (DC) strategic building objectives.

    This role will drive all aspects of processes and operations to include, but not limited to planning, organizing, and overseeing the receiving, inventory, and shipping functions to ensure a smooth and consistent operation while effectively satisfying customer needs.

    The Operations Manager plans and directs DC activity to attain business objectives through effective leadership, cost reduction, productivity improvement, risk mitigation, and strategic compliance.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    Promote, develop, and maintain a work environment that promotes employee inclusion, recognition and effective communication.

    Maintain effective, positive employee relations in the facility, in order to enable S&S Activewear to attract, retain, and motivate highly qualified employees.

    Interpret company strategy and translate those thoughts into the tactical plans and actions necessary for the Distribution Center to appropriately execute and support those strategies.

    Assign projects within the scope of responsibility.
    Hire, train, appraise and coach management-level team members.
    Develop the facility's operating strategies, to manage future growth, improve quality and reduce operating cost
    Provide and promote a safe work environment.
    Ensure compliance of all company policies, including but not limited to, all Federal, State and local OSHA regulations.
    Direct major facility changes upon approval from corporate office.
    Maintain an effective system of communicating relevant information to and from the corporate office.
    Direct and develop the local professional

    management/leadership

    team.
    Setting, implementing, and maintaining local-based standards and measurement tools and processes
    Implementing new technologies and systems as required
    Ensuring high-demand, wholesale customer's expectations are met or exceeded consistently by Distribution Center
    Participate in various cross-functional and/or cross-facility process improvement initiatives.
    Maintain facility equipment including upkeep and repairs.
    Communicate with other departments in order to resolve issues
    Enforce company rules and policies
    Encourage teamwork, discipline and strong work ethic
    Drive SOP compliance across warehouse functions
    Serve as a member of the Distribution team providing assistance as needed.
    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    10 or more years' experience in the management of a face-paced Distribution Center operating environment, preferably same day fulfillment
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Ability to work a flexible schedule
    Strong interpersonal leadership and team-building skills
    Excellent comprehension, communication, and analytical skills necessary
    Knowledge of warehouse and material handling equipment essential
    Strong skills in planning, organizing and controlling
    Strong knowledge and proven track record of receiving, warehousing, inventory control and shipping practices
    Familiarity with and/or exposure to various distribution-related technology and automation, including but not limited to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Radio-Frequency (RF), and other computer-based systems
    Comfortable working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic E-mail packages/utilities
    Strong understanding of the importance of safety in the warehouse and ability to implement safety rules and procedures
    Experience maintaining a cooperative environment
    Strong customer service orientation and philosophy
    Strong analytical and mathematical skills
    Protective Equipment Required
    Must be able to wear proper safety equipment (safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest). PPE is company-provided with a $100 stipend on safety-toe shoes after 90 days of employment.
    Physical Demands
    Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling of items up to 50 lbs. Moderate Hand-Eye coordination, near vision, far vision and hearing are required.
    Working Environment
    The job will be performed entirely in the S&S Activewear warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool. The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
