Description
The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis will work directly with the Business Leaders and Portfolio Manager in support of the Corliss Family Wine Operations and its affiliated companies.
The FP&A Manager is responsible for financial planning, analysis of business strategies, budgeting and forecasting to maximize earned income and improve profitability across a growing portfolio of assets, including; winery, agriculture and hospitality businesses.
This individual will work closely with business leaders to provide financial and operational analysis to support the creation and execution of business strategies.
The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of financial statements as well as interpersonal and analytical skills to effectively collaborate with multiple business partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides reporting, analytical and decision-making support to Business Leadership.
Carries out analysis and interpretation of revenue, demand generators, financial reporting, and operational data to assess performance of entities and evolve short and long-term strategies to enhance performance.
Responsible for long-term planning for operations, capital expenditures, sales growth, and expense management.
In conjunction with President of Wine Operations and Vice President, Portfolio Manager establishes short and long-term strategic goals, to include targets for sales, gross margin, cost of production and net margin.
Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports that support the Business Leadership.Identify market and asset risk factors and develop mitigation strategies.
Conduct research on industries and companies to identify investment opportunities and/or operating results benchmarks for owned businesses and assets.
Increase productivity through process automation, coordinating information requirements.
Provides supervision and mentoring of Financial Operations Analyst.
Leads the preparation and analysis of annual operating budgets and provides regular forecasts and variance analyses to Business Leadership.
Build analysis tools and forward-looking financial models to support decision making.
Provide general analytic, investment modeling support or other requests as assigned by Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
5+ years of financial analysis and planning experience, including progressive responsibilities. Experience within wine, hospitality, or manufacturing industries a plus.
Proficient in general accounting principles, financial statements, and budgets.
High level of Excel proficiency and data visualization experience. Experience in Tableau preferred.
Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills necessary to communicate and work effectively with management and co-workers.
