Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for facilitating the transition in daily operations from one day to the next.

As such, they assist in all closing and opening duties related to the front office, as well as any guest needs that may arise.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and out, as well as provide them with any information they need to enjoy their stay
  • Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates as well as the activities and services of the property.
  • Maintains guest room key storage, and maintains and supervises access to safe deposit boxes.
  • Audit and balance reports from the day shifts
  • Schedule guest wakeup calls and reservations for the following day
  • Verify that all EOD work has been performed by other departments
  • Respond to guest inquiries, concerns and complaints as needed
  • Answer phones and place reservations
  • Run EOD computer functions so they are complete by the end of the shift
  • Prepare guest bills for nextday checkouts
  • Process reservation cards
  • Balance cash drawers
  • Thoroughly understands and adheres to proper credit, check
- cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures.

  • Record receipts
  • Facilitate the deposit of guests' valuables in hotel safe
  • Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager.
  • Knows all safety and emergency procedures, Is aware of accident prevention policies.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:


  • Flexible availability, with ability to work overnight
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality
  • Excellent communication and math skills
  • Ability to learn computer functions and other onthejob skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently
