    About the role:
    The Principal React Native Engineer will play a critical role in driving innovation and growth for the Banking Solutions business. As a Principal React Native Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading our Mobile development team to create cutting-edge mobile applications. You will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing high-quality React Native solutions that meet our business objectives and exceed user expectations. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision will drive the success of our Mobile projects and contribute to the overall growth of our company.

    What you will be doing:

    · Lead the development and maintenance of high-quality, cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

    · Architect and implement scalable and performant solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and mobile development standards.

    · Collaborate across android, iOS and Ionic capacitor teams.

    · Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the React Native development team, guiding code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions.

    · Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and drive project success.

    · Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in React Native development, evaluate new tools and libraries, and make recommendations for adoption.

    · Drive innovation in mobile development processes, tooling, and workflows to improve efficiency, code quality, and developer productivity.

    · Proactively identify and address technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and scalability issues in React Native applications.

    · Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement within the mobile development team.

    · Act as a subject matter expert on React Native development, participate in technical discussions, and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing efforts.



    What you will need:

    · Proficiency in React Native development with a strong understanding of JavaScript, ES6+, and TypeScript.

    · Experience in building complex, scalable, and performance-optimized mobile applications using React Native components and APIs.

    · Familiarity with mobile app development tools, debugging techniques, and integration of third-party libraries and APIs.

    · Knowledge of native mobile development (iOS/Android) and ability to bridge React Native components with native code when necessary.

    · Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of React Native developers, guiding technical decisions, and ensuring code quality and best practices.

    · Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to define requirements, plan sprints, and deliver features on time.

    · Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts, present architectural designs, and facilitate discussions within the team and with stakeholders.

    · Demonstrated ability to innovate and explore new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve React Native development workflows and application performance.

    · Experience with state management libraries (such as Redux, MobX) and data persistence/storage solutions in React Native applications.

    · Proactive in identifying performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other technical issues, and implementing solutions for optimal app performance.

    · 5+ years of hands-on experience in mobile app development, with a focus on React Native for cross-platform development.

    · Previous experience in a senior or lead engineering role, with a track record of delivering successful React Native applications from concept to deployment.

    · Active participation in the React Native community, contributions to open-source projects, and relevant certifications would be advantageous.

    FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $143, $240,310.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
