The Institute of the Hamburg University of Technology in Kensington, NY is seeking a full-time Research Associate (M/F/d) / Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter (m/w/d) for the earliest possible date.

YOUR TASKS

  • Design efficient machine learning models for embedded hardware, with a focus on fast image and sensor data processing
  • Develop machine learning methods for robot navigation in dynamic environments, with an emphasis on safe motion planning
  • Design and implement prototypical robotic systems
  • Conduct systematic experimental evaluations in the context of medical and mobile robotics scenarios
  • Present results at toptier international conferences and publish in highranking journals

YOUR PROFILE

  • Master's degree in computer science or related fields with excellent grades
  • Strong programming skills in both C++ and Python
  • Handson experience with mobile robots and robotics frameworks, particularly ROS
  • Excellent knowledge of recent machine learning methods, especially for computer vision
  • Strong research focus and ability to work independently
  • Excellent English language and scientific writing skills; knowledge of German is a plus
