- Provide patient education on cast and splint care and wear
- Assist the physician/PA with orthopedic casting
- Position involves the application and removal of casts, splints and braces
- Maintains compliance with current OSHA and infections waste
management standards - Facilitates communication between practice team and physicians to
meet patient needs - Adheres to practice's Safety, Risk Management, and Universal
Precautions standards - Utilizes EMR for provider and Medical Assistant support
- Float to all offices for coverage as needed
- Work cohesively with all staff/physicians
- High School diploma or GED. Accredited orthopedic technologist program preferred but not required.
- Minimum one year as an orthopedic technologist, athletic trainer, MA or
CNA with casting experience required. Previous experience in orthopedic
healthcare preferred - Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language
- Must have knowledge of medical terminology
- Must be skilled in performance of basic computer/keyboard
functions - Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be able to organize work and establish procedures

Key Duties & Responsibilities
