- Work directly with Executive Director regarding budgets, financial report and analysis, special purpose reports and other projects as requested by Executive Director and Board.
- Responsible for regulatory compliance per governing non profit guidelines
- Prepare documentation for external audits
- Ensure appropriate internal controls are implemented, followed, and documented
- Oversite and management of accounting team assuring all processes are followed and completed in timely manner including A/R, A/P and Payroll
- Prepares program budgets with Executive Director and ensure proper fund reporting is accurate
- Maintains the general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers properly reflecting all financial transactions for each program, and services offered
- Ensure related duties as directed within specific grant and organization guidelines are followed
- Prior experience in processing Non-Profit transactions and reports strongly preferred, but not required
- Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
- Experience or proficiency with MIP Abila software is a plus
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as required
- Strong knowledge of IT systems and Accounting Software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
