- Coordinate responses with Naval Undersea Warfare Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT), Naval Station Newport (NAVSTANPT), NAVSEA, and local agencies during emergency situations for effective action planning and recovery operations.
- Facilitate meetings with department EM/COOP representatives to develop Continuity of Operations Plans, Business Process Analysis, Business Impact Analysis, and Mission Essential Functions.
- Develop and maintain NUWCDIVNPT EM/COOP plans, policies, procedures, training/exercises, and notification systems to meet Department of Defense and US Navy standards.
- Document training and exercise results and update qualification records accordingly.
- Analyze local hazards and threats, conducting assessments and developing associated plans for facilities and events.
- Assess critical staff and maintain required communication assets for effective response.
- Participate in all EM/COOP training and exercises as directed.
- Provide support for agenda development, action item tracking, and status reporting on open and closed actions.
- Utilize a comprehensive approach to prepare for, respond to, recover from, and mitigate against disasters.
- Activate EM/COOP plans for both man-made and natural disasters.
- Coordinate emergency response with relevant organizations to ensure safety and property protection.
