    Your impact:
    • Provide engineering design support on ITS and Transportation Systems Management & Operations (TSM&O) projects, including planning, engineering, and design from preliminary to final design.
    • Design and preparation of ITS plans, including the design of central/field communications, communications devices, CCTV cameras, DMS, traffic detectors, electronic tolling equipment, transit signal priority, traffic control equipment, and traffic controller hardware and software.
    • Working with a team of ITS engineers in the preparation of design and contract documents for transportation projects.
    • Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines and sub-consultants, Department, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
    • Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope.
    Who you are:
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or other related Engineering field is required.
    • PE license, or ability to obtain within 6-months of hire.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in transportation engineering working on related technology-based projects.
    • Experience with plan preparation on transportation projects for FDOT required.
    • Experience using Microstation and OpenRoads designer design software.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.

    Work Environment

    The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
