Job Description

Job Summary: The main role involves handling requests from customers via phone, email, or fax regarding quotations, orders, lead times, and general inquiries. Responsibilities include entering, monitoring, and acknowledging purchase orders, collaborating with internal departments, and ensuring top-notch customer service. Close collaboration with the shipping and receiving team is essential for managing customer expedites effectively.

Key Tasks

High level understanding of data entry and job routing creation
Management of purchase orders and coordination with internal departments
Handling telephone and email requests related to purchase orders, adjustments, and cancellations
Utilizing the Operating System to track purchase order statuses and inventory levels
Maintaining active orders, updating change notices, and managing job routings
Responsible for fostering strong customer relationships

Key Skills

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and prioritization abilities
Effective problem-solving skills
Proficiency in supply chain management, including expediting, lead time reduction, and inventory control
Strong communication, negotiation, and assertiveness skills
Sound decision-making and business judgement
