    Description

    Position: EDI Software Engineer at CorVel Corporation

    The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in developing technical projects using SQL Server and C# and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.

    CorVel Corporation is currently seeking an EDI Software Engineer to create optimal solutions supporting data flow between various business systems. As part of the role, you will supervise all development aspects of assigned projects, starting from requirement gathering to deployment. This opportunity involves a combination of software development tasks and collaboration with team members to innovate and institute effective solutions.

    This position begins as a temporary assignment, with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs. Remote work option available.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate closely with project owners, requestors, and users to enhance requirements.
    • Implement robust software engineering practices such as iterative development, unit testing, source code control, and peer reviews.
    • Acquire a good understanding of our business model and existing enterprise applications.
    • Engage in regular meetings with development teams.

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • 7+ years of software development experience utilizing Microsoft SQL Server.
    • 3+ years working with C# using Microsoft Visual Studio.
    • Proficiency in crafting Microsoft SQL Server Stored Procedures.
    • Experience with Source Control systems like TFVC, Git, etc.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
    • Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.

    Additional preferred skills:

    • Demonstrated capacity to design a normalized SQL Server database.
    • Familiarity with build/release processes and continuous integration.
    • Experience with Dependency Injection and IoC Containers.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including SQL Azure databases.
    • Prior experience in EDI and/or Healthcare environments.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

    PAY RANGE:

    CorVel follows a market-based approach to compensation, with salary ranges that may vary by location. Compensation considerations include federal, state, and local minimum wage regulations, geographic differentials, job-specific skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market conditions. Adjustment of ranges is possible at any point.

    For different job levels (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.), new recruits may be assigned a different level based on assessments during the interview process considering their experience, qualifications, and suitability for the role. This alteration may affect the salary range and would be clarified during the job offer stage.

    Pay Range: $88,466 – $137,069
