    Job DescriptionSUMMARY

    The rubber press operator will ensure machinery is operating to optimal standards

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Set up, operate and tend machinery used for mixing, calendaring, extruding, moldings and curing rubber materials or rubber products
    • Load or feed rubber, pigments, filler, oil and chemicals into machines
    • Check and monitor processing conditions and product quality
    • Adjust machines to proper setting as required
    • Train or assist in training new workers.
    • Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required
    • Have knowledge of ISO and Aerospace standards - preferred but not required

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience in manufacturing

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    WORK CONDITIONS and ENVIRONMENT

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

    To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
