SUMMARYThe rubber splice press operator will ensure machinery is operating to optimal standardsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for running multiple splice presses during a work period.

Responsible for preparing material for splice molding by cutting, forming, Lay-up, and or warming material prior to molding.

Responsible for ensuring press is a correct temperature for part(s) to be molded and or that certain molds are cold or warm as required prior to loading.

Responsible for ensuring molds are clean and properly lubricated with the appropriate mold release.
Operate manual press machines to mold rubber components, bonding rubber to metal inserts and fabric.
Open press, open mold, remove cured parts, inspect cured parts for defects.
Clean and prepare mold for next heat.
Log parts into ERP system and record labor transaction.
Return any material to stock as needed or instructed.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures.
Perform all other duties as required by department needs.
