    Job Title: District Manager at National Multi-Family Management Company

    Level: Experienced

    Our nationwide multi-family management firm is looking for a District Manager with a proactive attitude to oversee all aspects of property management, including financial and accounting responsibilities.


    JOB SUMMARY
    Responsible for financial accountability, marketing development, personnel and property management of residential properties. Acts as the management representative with property owners.


    REPORTS TO : Regional Vice President
    SUPERVISES: Property Managers and oversees staff management.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Some college-level education preferred


    EXPERIENCE OR SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

    Minimum 3 years of on-site multi-family management experience and 1 year supervising 200 to 300 units required. Strong financial and budget experience, marketing, and personnel management skills are essential. Experience with various property types preferred.



    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Fiscal accountability for portfolio performance
    a. Develop and implement property budgets
    b. Monitor property expenses and suggest budget adjustments
    c. Recommend capital improvements and handle major purchases
    d. Monitor compliance with affordable housing programs
    • Personnel Management
    a. Hire, orient, and train management personnel
    b. Assist in recruiting and training staff
    c. Provide on-going staff training and performance monitoring
    d. Document employee performance and take necessary actions
    e. Promote staff harmony and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
    • Develop, implement, and monitor marketing and action plans
    a. Monitor market trends and competition
    b. Maximize income through rent roll management
    c. Develop an active renewal program and marketing plans
    • Client/customer relations
    a. Coordinate with property owners
    b. Resolve resident and vendor situations promptly

    Qualifications
    • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM)
    • Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) preferred
    • Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) preferred
    • Fair Housing and TDHCA training preferred
    • Active apartment association membership preferred
