    Description

    Estimator

    A highly reputable quality home builder is experiencing amazing growth and looking for an Estimator to join their team The company has been in business for over 50 years, is family-owned/operated, and works on both production and fully custom builds.

    The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience in commercial and/or residential estimating and be proficient in MS Office. Field experience is highly preferred. The role will primarily work in an office setting with occasional travel to job sites.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare detailed cost estimates and production home building projects
    • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine the scope of work and materials required
    • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other industry professionals
    • Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, and Engineers to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
    • Assist in the preparation of proposals, bid documents, and project budgets
    • Monitor project costs and provide regular reports to management
    • Participate in job site visits and meetings as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or relate field preferred
    • 3 years of experience in customer and/or production home building estimating
    • Experience with estimating softwares (i.e. Quick or Onscreen is a plus)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and part of team
    • Strong attention to detail, vendor relations, collaborate with members in other departments.
    • Willingness to occasionally travel to job sites and work in varying weather conditions

    Compensation:

    • $65,000 $75,000 base salary.
