    Job Description

    Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years visually impaired experience required.

    Job Title: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
    Location: Copiague, NY
    Duration: ASAP - June 26, 23-24 School Year

    Job Details:

    • Schedule: Flexible, 30 minutes, 2 times per week
    • Student Age: 18 years old
    • Setting: Instruction provided at a place of "mutual education" such as the library or somewhere on the school campus
    • Responsibilities:
      • Provide specialized instruction to a visually impaired student
      • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the student's needs
      • Adapt educational materials and utilize assistive technology to support learning
      • Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to ensure the student's academic and functional needs are met
      • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary
      • Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided
