- Align IT strategy and planning with business goals.
- Interpret, use and apply information contained within IT architecture to inform a range of business improvement activities, particularly those involved in the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of IT support systems.
- Optimize information management approaches through an understanding of evolving business needs and technology capabilities.
- Recommend and participate in activities related to the design development and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture.
- Provide/Participate in analysis, evaluation and development of enterprise long-term strategic operating plans.
- Promote shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows.
- Verify that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies.
- Work with project managers to provide a consensus based enterprise solution that is callable adaptable, and in synchronization with ever changing business needs.
- Identify risks associated with information and IT assets through appropriate standards and security policies.
- Provide recommendations on project costs, design concepts or design changes.
- Document design specifications, installation instructions and other system-related information
- Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security or scalability of system architecture.
- Assimilate business goals and strategies.
- Understand goals and strategies as applied to business plans and objectives.
- Translate plans & objectives into business rule models and rules designs.
- Develop master schedules, processing structures and controls structures relative to events and cycles.
- Complete models and simulations, using manual or automated tools, to analyze or predict system performance under different operating conditions.
- Document and classify business processes.
- Adapt and update business process models.
- Recommend application architecture including application functions and user views.
- Recommend System design for computer functionality and data sets and elements.
- Develop data definitions, which include fields and addresses.
- Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components.
- Establish functional or system standards to ensure operational requirements, quality requirements, and design constraints are addressed.
- Evaluate existing systems to determine effectiveness and suggest changes to meet organizational requirements.
- Creating workflow models for organizational units and work products and creating models to support business entities and relationships.
- Assimilating business goals and strategies.
- Inventorying events and cycles significant to the business.
- Developing master schedules and processing structures relative to events and cycles.
- Recommending the human interface architecture for roles and deliverables.
- Recommending presentation for architectures for user screen formats.
- degree in Information/computer technology or a closely related field is preferred.
- Level 3 (Note this higher-level position does not have a Level 1 or 2)
- 10 years of experience is required with a bachelor's degree in applicable fields.
- 12 years of experience is required with an associate degree in applicable fields.
- 14 years of experience is required without a degree or degree outside of applicable fields.
- Applicable Certifications may count for 1 year of experience.
- Experience must include direct work experience in Computer/Information technology.
- 8 years of experience developing integrated technology solutions is required.
- 8 years of experience as development lead for enterprise level projects in an established professional environment is required.
- 5 years of IT Enterprise Architecture work or equivalent course experience is required.
- 5 years of experience working with architecture modeling and architecture modeling tools.
- Experience with managing project architectures, ideally, across multiple domains.
- Experience with modeling languages such as UML, ArchiMate, BPMN.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Sparx Enterprise Architect repositories through installations, configurations, and updates.
- Experience in scripting languages such as JavaScript or VB Script.
- Familiarity with integrating Sparx Enterprise Architect to sources and repositories using SQL, plug-ins, and other automation techniques.
- Familiarity with TOGAF (v10) architecture framework and the ArchiMate (v3.1) modeling specifications.
- Familiar with architecture governance.
- Ability to organize and facilitate review meetings.
- Good stakeholder management skills.
- Certification in The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF).
- Experience with modeling complex enterprises across business and technology.
- Knowledge of and experience working with Microsoft Windows Active Directory, SharePoint, and PowerBI.
- Working knowledge of software development life cycle processes including QA.

Duration: 12-month Contract (with possible extensions up to 5 years)
Pay Range: $ $ 70.97 per hour
The role of the Enterprise Architect (EA) is to develop and implement Management approved enterprise level technology requirements to meet strategic and tactical business requirements which are translated into system and process designs (architectures) and/or solutions. The EA works with stakeholders, and both leadership and subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of the organization's strategy, process, information and information technology assets, ensuring alignment of the business and IT. The EA links the business mission, strategy, and processes or an organization to its IT strategy and technical architecture, and documents this using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of an organization will be met in an efficient sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.
