    Job Description

    Job DescriptionWorkSolved Staffing is recruiting for a Machine Operator (Band Saw) in Walker, Mi.r. This is a light industrial manufacturing position. Ideal applicant will be able to accurately use a tape measure, lift 50/lbs. on a semi consistent basis, and willing to learn various machines. Pay is weekly.Job responsibilities:
    • Competently executing the Saw setup as per "Band Saw Instructions"
    • Thoroughly understanding designated tasks in the part-cutting process
    • Efficiently performing designated tasks in the part-cutting process as per "Band Saw Instructions" and "Band Saws - Control Plan"
    • Visually inspecting and dimensionally verifying tubes being cut in the work order as per Control Plan
    • Loading of long length bundles, as applicable
    • Packaging finished goods as per Work Order
    • Dispositioning suspect product using "Control of Non-Conforming Material" procedure
    • Performing general maintenance (ie. oiling, greasing, cleaning) on the equipment
    • Housekeeping at designated workstation
    • Record keeping
    Skills:
    • Characteristics, skills and competencies to fulfill the demands of the position
    • Basic computer knowledge
    • Safety hazard knowledge
    • Good problem-solving skills
    • General Mechanical knowledge
    • Machine and hand safety tool safety
    • Forklift license, as applicable
    • Crane license, as applicable
    Pay:
    • 2nd Shift $18.50
    • 3rd Shift $18.75/hour
