- Develop and oversee the program's curriculum, in line with state and national standards and licensure requirements, with a strong commitment to anti-racist, culturally, gender, and linguistic inclusive pedagogy.
- Serve as the instructor for designated courses within the program.
- Engage in program evaluation, accreditation processes, and ongoing improvements.
- Lead faculty committee meetings related to program development and assessment.
- Collaborate with Education faculty and the Education and Humanities Unit to ensure alignment of program objectives and outcomes.
- Mentor and advise students, including those working on dissertations and other high-impact educational projects.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service, especially those committees supporting the mission of the program, College, and wider University.
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Education or a related field by the appointment start date.
- 5-10 years of leadership experience in higher education administration.
- A strong commitment to and experience in teaching at the graduate level, especially in public education.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Capacity for visionary leadership and collaborative community engagement.
- Proven success in working with educators in culturally and linguistically diverse urban schools.
- Strong teaching abilities and a dedication to continued improvement as an educator.
- Expertise in critical theory, including but not limited to critical race theory, critical language theory, critical feminist theory, and critical Latinx theory.
- Experience in online course development and instruction.
- Experience teaching at the graduate level.
- Teaching and developing curriculum and materials for on-ground and online courses.
- Possessing a disposition and vision to build upon the strengths of our credential program.
