- Make records of repairs and equipment services
- Plan and implement preventative maintenance procedures to maximize equipment operations and minimize safety risks
- Examine building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs when needed
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and electrical wiring to ensure optimal performance and make any repairs
- Manage other maintenance requests as required
- Plan and execute PM on all machines
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment
- Must always use proper lock-out-tag-out procedures when performing repairs, tests, or installations
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment in adherence to all safety protocols and procedures
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, and fixtures, and tools
- Operate cutting torch and welding equipment
- Adhere to all PPE and GMP requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Organize repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
- Has high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems
- Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1+ years of related experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment; or 4 years direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment
- Strong understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques, and procedures
- Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends
- Requires strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess product output relative to specifications
- Requires basic knowledge of computers and operating systems
- Ability to read and execute work orders, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals
- Must have the ability to multi-task and to identify and execute process improvements as needed
