    Description

    As a Talent Team Intern with ECI, you'll be a key member of the team supporting the Talent Team as needed. We are looking for an energetic professional who will be responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day talent operations.     Some of the most important characteristics of a Talent Team Intern is that you are open-minded, able to multi-task and provide superior administrative support to various business leaders across the country.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR/Finance functions and duties.
    • Provide clerical and administrative support to Talent Team Leaders.
    • Updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details.
    • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to employee activities. (Recruitment, Training, Grievances, Performance Evaluations, etc.)
    • Handles employment application intake.
    • Preparing and sending offer and rejection letters or emails to candidates.
    • Assists with new-employee orientations and onboarding, ensuring completion prior to start date.
    • Assists Talent Team Managers with employee focused projects.
    • Creates various reports and documents to provide current employee information.
    • Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains that they are current.
    • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new employee background checks.
    • Assists with processing of terminations.
    • Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    INTERN REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or studying toward a degree in human resource management or related field.
    • Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws.
    • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
    • The ability to work as part of a team.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is advantageous.

    Environment
    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Physical
    The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
