    Job Summary: As a Medical Assistant Front and Back Office at BelleSante, by Kristine Romine, MD, you will be the first point of contact for our valued patients, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Your primary responsibility to start will be to provide excellent customer service by greeting patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and assisting with various administrative tasks. You will also play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various medical and aesthetic procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to learn from a board-certified dermatologist and gain hands-on experience. We are seeking a friendly and organized individual who can effectively manage their day and ensure smooth operations.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Greet and welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
    • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with patient inquiries.
    • Maintain an organized and tidy front desk area.
    • Check-in patients and collect necessary documentation.
    • Check-out patients and collect payment for services and product purchases.
    • Update patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality.
    • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow.
    • Handle patient concerns and complaints professionally and escalate as necessary.
    • Collaborate with the team to maintain a positive and cohesive work environment.
    • Stay updated on our services, promotions, and policies.
    • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
    • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
    • Assist MD/NP during patient consultations, examinations, and procedures.
    • Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
    • Perform basic medical procedures, such as documenting patient medical histories, and assisting with minor surgical procedures.
    • Provide pre and post-operative care instructions to patients and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
    • Maintain accurate and updated patient records and charts.
    • Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in dermatology and aesthetics.
    • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth patient flow and optimize operational efficiency.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

    Requirements:

    • Undergraduate degree (healthcare related field preferred but not required).
    • Proven experience as a medical assistant, preferably in dermatology or aesthetic settings.
    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology (skincare and aesthetics is a plus but not required).
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
    • Ability to manage time, prioritize, and work efficiently in a productive environment.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
    • Proficiency in using electronic documentation systems and basic computer skills.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures, treatments, and technologies.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry advancements.
