Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Back Office Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team.
The Back Office Medical Assistant will provide essential support to medical professionals in a hospital setting, ensuring the smooth operation of the back office and delivering high-quality patient care.
This is a full-time position.Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting medical history
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Provide patient education on procedures, medications, and selfcare instructions
- Maintain accurate and uptodate medical records using electronic health record systems
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing procedures
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and coding systems
- Knowledge of X-Ray procedures and equipment operation
- Ability to administer inhalation treatments as directed by healthcare providers
- Strong patient service skills with a compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to provide medical administrative support to healthcare professionals
- Experience in providing direct patient care in a hospital or clinical setting Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable
