- Working closely with the Deputy Director of Development, set the annual and multi-year strategy for the organization's individual and corporate giving programs.
- Lead the planning, cultivation, and execution of individual donor events and appeals, including annual gala, year end appeal, board-led giving and ongoing giving campaigns.
- Lead the planning, cultivation, and execution of the corporate giving program, through at least eight corporate engagement events and program sponsorships.
- Nurture and grow the individual and corporate giving program to raise $850,000 in year one.
- Build and manage strong relationships with individuals, organizations, corporations, and others with the potential to be cultivated, solicited, and stewarded, moving prospects toward a gift, and creating a pipeline of prospects and donors.
- Manage donor databases and track donor interactions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in a related field
- Three to five years of demonstrated effectiveness in individual and corporate giving including prospect identification, relationship building, solicitation, and events.
- Track record of success in soliciting five figure gifts through relationship development, donor engagement, event management, proposal development, and partner cultivation.
- Excellent storytelling, writing, and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate warmly and compellingly with diverse stakeholders, including donors, board members, staff, and volunteers.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to exercise initiative to manage multiple projects and priorities to meet aggressive timelines.
- Proficient in GSuite and demonstrated knowledge of CRMs (e.g. Raiser's Edge).
- Access to a reliable network connection for meetings and presentations is required.
- Commitment to the mission of the Natural Areas Conservancy.
- Salary: $84,000-90,000 depending on experience

WHO WE ARE
Through its visionary leadership and high impact staff, the Natural Areas Conservancy (NAC) champions urban natural areas in New York City and across the nation through innovative research, partnerships, and advocacy. We increase the health and resilience of urban forests and wetlands, catalyze connections between people and nature, and strengthen the environmental workforce.
Started in 2012, NAC is the first nonprofit dedicated exclusively to New York City's natural areas–20,000 acres across all five boroughs. Since 2019, we have also worked on a national scale, leading a network of representatives from cities across the U.S. to strengthen research, information sharing, and communication efforts to enhance the field of urban forest management.
We want all people to feel welcomed, inspired by, and connected to the natural world.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Senior Manager, Individual & Corporate Giving is a key role on a dynamic three-person team and will build on the organization's strong foundation of supporters to raise $850,000 in flexible funds in year one and grow this number in year two by diversifying and increasing revenue from individual and corporate giving programs.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Development, the Senior Manager must be able to set corporate and individual development strategy, structure internal processes to support program goals and play a critical role in building a pipeline of new prospects and stewarding existing donors.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a passion for urban parks and the diverse communities who use them, and who brings a strong background in building and growing individual and corporate revenue.

JOB LOCATION
NAC currently offers a hybrid remote work schedule, with staff reporting to the Manhattan office a minimum of 40% of their time. Occasional travel to event sites in all five boroughs may be required.
