SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compile, analyze, and interpret financial data for reporting purposes in compliance with GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the monthend and yearend close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial information and provide insights for decisionmaking.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis to support strategic planning and performance evaluation.
  • Maintain and improve financial reporting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay current with accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and recommend necessary changes or updates.
  • Support external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and resolving inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Provide guidance and training to accounting staff on financial reporting processes and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline financial reporting operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in the food manufacturing industry or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with ERP systems proficiency in MS Excel
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Experience with monthend and yearend close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
  • Previous experience with external audits
  • Ability to communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams and senior management.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff members.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with accounting standards and industry trends.

Pay:
$110, $145,000.00 per year
