Description

Responsibilities will be:


  • First point of contact for questions and escalations from a team of material handlers
  • Provide one on one training to new employees, in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements and within written job description
  • Identify process efficiencies and/or productivity enhancements quarterly, or as determined by your direct supervisor
  • Ability to communicate professionally to all levels within the company
  • Identify any safety or compliance opportunities, and provide solution oriented feedback through to completion
  • Prepare and ship items using the appropriate shipping method, select appropriate shipping container, pack items for safe delivery
  • Prepares bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct
  • Receives and unloads incoming materials and uses available tools to verify accuracy of shipments
  • Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received
  • Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
  • Traces lost shipments and/or file claims for lost or damaged items
  • Routinely performs administrative functions such as maintaining department databases, prepare routine reports, file shipping and receiving records
  • May operate material handling equipment that could include forklift, electric pallet jacks, shrinkwrap machines, carousels, walkiestackers, order pickers as needed
  • Provide root cause and corrective actions for monthly business fundamentals, that fall out of control, or as requested by direct Supervisor
  • Provide first level auditing of job transactions and output for compliance with written processes and required guidelines.
  • Partner with direct supervisor on coordination of month end, quarter end, or yearend output requirements
  • Flexibility to manage competing priorities, professionally and thoroughly
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, written work instructions, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or health standards
  • Performs miscellaneous logistics related administrative duties as assigned
  • Maintain a clean, safe, working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, without assistance

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 2 years of previous material handling experience required
  • Previous material handling experience with Keysight Technologies/Agilent/HP is preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of success driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience with Oracle WMS, TA15, and logistic carrier databases preferred
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Demonstrates effective listening and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Demonstrated success in a diverse, teamoriented work environment
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with operation of material handling equipment preferred
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM
  • High school diploma or equivalent

$ $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
