An exceptional opportunity is available for a skilled PROJECT ENGINEER seeking a permanent position in SA Projects. As a Project Engineer (PE), your main role is to assist the project manager in the engineering and technical aspects of projects. You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager - Projects, focusing primarily on the assigned projects. Serving as an extension of the Project Manager, the PE is accountable for understanding and fulfilling the clients' objectives while safeguarding and advocating the company's technologies. Project Engineers may be entrusted with overseeing minor technical projects independently.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Essential Functions

ESTIMATION PHASE
- Site visits to understand site conditions and scope of work
- Aid Contracts pursuit department in large capital pursuits
- Review contracts, proposals, specifications, and scope of work
PURCHASING
- Develop Material & Technical Specifications
- Manage project-specific materials and equipment purchases
- Prepare purchasing documents
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Support construction team and expedite schedule completion
- Assist in developing Safety and Quality Programs
- Liaise with project Site Manager and attend project meetings
ENGINEERING
- Design electrical systems and collaborate with technical specialists
- Prepare design inputs, review engineering drawings, and equipment parameters
- Create project electrical work plans and aid in installation and commissioning
- Check equipment deliveries against specifications
PROJECT CLOSE-OUT
- Provide close-out information to clients and ensure project documentation is complete

REQUIREMENTS:
- Electrical Engineering degree or relevant qualification
- Construction field experience or equivalent years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with Microsoft Project skills as a plus
- Ability to work independently and in teams, both in office and field environments
- Computer literacy and driver's license required
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally
- Strong references and clean criminal record
