THE POSITION:


Use your human services background to become a leader in the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) You will aid the Bureau of Financial Management and Program Support in evaluating data to measure the effectiveness of Department of Human Services programs.

If you would like to improve data management systems and develop your analytical skills, then becoming a Human Services Program Specialist Supervisor might be the right choice for you.


DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


As the Human Services Program Specialist Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to improve existing systems and leave a lasting change on the work processes within the bureau.

You will responsible for developing, analyzing and maintaining various metrics and reports that will be used by staff, business partners, ODP providers, and federal government representatives.

You will develop a working knowledge of analytics tools and software. In addition to managing ODP projects, you will provide professional training and supervise staff in day to day tasks. You will also represent the bureau at meetings and conferences.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with a 30minute lunch.

Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 5 days a week after the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY:


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • One year as a Human Services Program Specialist;_ _
    or:
  • Two years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs;_ _
    or:
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
