THE POSITION:


Are you looking for an exciting opportunity within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania? Kings Gap Environmental Education Center is seeking a dedicated individual who can handle a flexible work schedule, interact with people, and contribute to the enjoyment of visitors.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

This is a seasonal non-law enforcement position.

In this role, you will engage with the public, provide services, and ensure their safety at Kings Gap Environmental Education Center.

You will also inform visitors about the various programs, resources, facilities, and activities available to them at the center and other state park or state forest lands.

Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating and monitoring visitor compliance with park regulations and rules pertaining to the use of Bureau of State Park lands.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • This is a seasonal, fulltime position with no benefits
  • Work schedule will vary depending on operational needs
  • Will work weekends, holidays and all shifts as directed by Management

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • No minimum experience and training required.

Special Requirements:


  • This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
  • All employees must obtain valid certification in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR approved by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or equivalent within 60 days of employment.

Other Requirements:


  • You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:


  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
  • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
  • You must pass a background investigation.
