Environmental, Heath & Safety Manager (EHS)Global Life Science Hub is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager (EHS) based on the Northeast Coast, USA with a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO).
Due to growth, we are now seeking a qualified individual to oversee all aspects of the site's safety, health, and environmental programs.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the site's safety, health, and environmental programsServe as an expert resource and leader in optimizing the site's safety program and environmental complianceConduct program assessments to identify department and/or program deficienciesEvaluate hazardous conditions and recommend engineering controls, administrative controls, and/or personal protective equipmentCoordinate and conduct work area assessments, surveys, and program evaluations to determine the presence of hazardous conditionsCollect, analyze, and maintain accurate records and data for effective safety and environmental programsCoordinate all CLP, SDS, and MSDS's for new/existing productsPrepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies to maintain site compliance with SHE regulationsTrack employee suggestions for improving safety and report safety participation to site leadershipWork proactively through routine audits and employee committees to ensure compliance with all SHE regulationsMaintain the site Work Permit process and required documentationOversee work being performed under Work Permits to ensure complianceWork with internal and external project personnel to identify potential hazards and develop safe work plansContribute to the development and practice of site crisis management processesDevelop and lead HSE improvement projects, including capital funding requests and purchasing of materialsAssist in the development of Hazardous Energy Control Procedures (HECP's)Foster a safety-first culture and mindset within the organizationDevelop effective working relationships with regulatory officials and emergency management groups
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in a technical, engineering, or related science field, preferably in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, or similar EHS degree5-10 years minimum experience with industrial safety and environmental issuesExperience in larger scale chemical manufacturing or heavy industrial operations preferredEnvironmental and/or safety certification(s) preferred (e.g.
, NERP, CEP, CIH, REM, CSM, NEBOSH, OSHA)Current knowledge of government safety and environmental regulationsExcellent organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced, team environmentQuick learning and adaptability to new situationsApplyIf you are interested in applying, please do so below.
