    We are seeking an experienced forward-thinking and strategic Purchasing and Planning Manager with a proven track record of developing key relationships with strategic partners and achieving results.

    Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead a team of buyers and planners to ensure that department objectives are met.
    • Partner with key stake holders to identify, lead and drive process improvements.
    • Partner with Sales, Operations, Engineering and Executive leadership to establish and optimize a sales and operations planning process that aligns inventory plans with business objectives and customer demand.
    • Ensure effective planning and procurement processes are in place to achieve operational and production goals.
    • Support non-product purchasing requirements and initiatives.
    • Manage supplier performance to ensure quality, on time delivery, fill rates, and service standards are met.
    • Collaborate with suppliers on quality issues and drive the implementation of preventative/corrective actions.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve supplier quality and delivery, and optimize inventory levels.
    • Establish key performance indicators for purchasing, inventory, and schedule attainment; monitor ongoing performance and drive improvements in the KPIs.
    • Assess, manage, and mitigate risk throughout the supply chain.
    • Ensures compliance with procurement and safety policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
    Education and/or Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field and 10 or more years of supply chain management experience and a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience or a comparable level of education and experience. Professional certifications such as APICS are a plus.
    • Demonstrated knowledge applying Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, and Lean principles.
    • Demonstrated knowledge using Enterprise Resource Planning software, MRP, MPS, Capacity Planning and other tools.
    • Demonstrated negotiation and customer service skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience in precision metal fabrication, industrial products or machined assemblies is a plus.
    Physical Demands:
    • No restrictions on wearing required PPE for area, including safety eyewear and steel toed shoes.
