    JOB SUMMARY

    Under the general direction of the Controller, the Manager of Accounts Payable is responsible for supervising the accounts' payable function, including such activities as the timely payment of all vendor invoices and expense vouchers and the maintenance of accurate records and control reports in accordance with TJC, federal, state, and local guidelines, organizational and departmental policies, and procedures. Communicates with medical staff, other departments, and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality.

    STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

    1. Leads and manages the Accounts Payable team, coordinating the daily activities and prioritizing workload, ensuring timely delivery and accurate transaction processing.
    2. Implement policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and improve invoice workflow.
    3. Ensure the team addresses all inquiries from internal and external customers promptly and professionally.
    4. Conduct and develop training presentations on existing policies, procedures, and systems for company new hires and department staff.
    5. Additional responsibilities may be given with regard to more accounting-based initiatives, including journal entries, month-end close, reconciliation, and budgeting tasks.
    6. Coordinates with Materials Management to resolve differences between purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices.
    7. Resolves invoicing problems with vendors.
    8. Report all discrepancies to the Controller and Controller.
    9. Report equipment problems/hazardous conditions promptly to the department manager/maintenance and complete the maintenance log.
    10. Participates in continuing education.
    11. Responsible for maintaining organizational facilities in accordance with TJC, federal and state, organizational and departmental policies, and procedures.
    12. Ensures departmental adherence to proper infection control, OSHA, and safety standards.
    13. Completes other duties as required within the scope of the job and training.
    Requirements

    Minimum Level of Education: Education level equivalent to completion of high school. Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business or accounting preferred.

    Formal Training: Management skills with experience in planning, organizing, implementing, facilitating, interviewing, counseling, and verbal and written communications.

    Licensure, Certification, and Registration: None

    Work Experience: Two Years of work experience involving Accounts Payable and purchase order systems. Previous supervisory experience. Intermediate computer skills with word processing and spreadsheet capabilities.
