What We Need
We are looking for a Manager, Mobile Bot Test.

They will own design, development, and integration testing the core robotics software responsible for orchestrating inventory into the Symbotic system and order fulfillment out to customers.

They will manage resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing to maintain a best-in-class engineering team. We are looking for people who thrive in a creative, collaborative and agile development environment.
What We Do

We are a talented team of roboticists working on the heart of Symbotic's automation solution – Symbot, the mobile robot.

We are responsible for delivering solutions for the storage and retrieval of cases performed in a fully autonomous structure operating 1,000s of Symbots at customer sites.

What You'll Do
Own design, implement and run software test for mobile robot drive and pick n' place capabilities.
Owns development of simulation in the loop and hardware in the loop testing for verification of robot behaviors.
Own software integration testing of systems and subsystems.
Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team and ensure project plans and delivery commitments are met.
Manage department resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing to maintain a best-in-class engineering team. Hold regular 1:1s with the team.
Promote and instill best practices in software engineering development.
Collaborating with software engineering teams on planning, design and development for tests and test tools
Coach, mentor, and lead a diverse group of software engineers, helping them to grow technically and

professionally
Help attract and develop top tier talent through recruitment activities and workforce development
What You'll Need
Minimum 10 Years of experience in an engineering field, minimum of 2 years spent as a team lead or manager of software development
M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering (any) or equivalent
Experience leading teams in an Agile development environment
Demonstrated ability to test complex systems; experience testing robotic systems.
Experience with general purpose programming environments, languages and scripting systems, data analysis packages, Linux, C++, git
Experience with scripting tools Python & Bash; experience with testing automation designed in Python and PyTest is desirable
Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, GitLab

Knowledge of software quality and testing automation principles
